The College of Veterinary Medicine Holds an Awareness Seminar on Energy Management and Environmental Conservation at Sustainability Development Week

As part of Sustainability Development Week activities and in line with efforts to promote environmental awareness, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Energy Management and Environmental Conservation for Balance and Sustainability,” held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall, with the attendance of faculty members and administrative staff.

The seminar featured lectures delivered by:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Sultan

  • Lecturer Thamer Jadoua Shihab

  • Assistant Lecturer Yusra Majeed Talib

  • Mr. Mahmoud Rifaat Sattar

The seminar addressed several key themes, most notably the general concepts of energy and the environment, the challenges facing this sector in Iraq, and the role of higher education institutions in promoting environmental awareness and encouraging the use of renewable energy sources.

The seminar aimed to reinforce the principles of sustainable development and enhance environmental awareness among staff, contributing to achieving a balance between environmental and economic dimensions. It also emphasized the vital role of universities in supporting sustainability-related issues and building a more stable future.
