In the presence of Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the Mental Health Unit within the University’s Counseling Division, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Stress Resulting from Practical Training with Clinical Cases,” held at Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall.
The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Wasan Sarhan Ubaid, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, and Professor Dr. Zakaria Ahmed Al-Omari from the College of Education for Women. It addressed several key topics, most notably the nature of psychological stress faced by students during practical training, particularly when dealing with clinical cases.
The seminar also discussed coping strategies for managing stress and professional pressures, highlighting the importance of psychological and counseling support in enhancing students’ ability to handle clinical situations. In addition, it emphasized the development of emotional regulation skills and maintaining psychological balance during fieldwork.
The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students, who actively engaged with its topics due to their importance in supporting students’ psychological well-being and enhancing their professional readiness.
