The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit hosted an academic awareness seminar entitled “The Academics’ Syndicate: A Pillar for Building the Academic Future”, in cooperation with the Iraqi Academics’ Syndicate – Salah Al-Din Branch. The seminar was held in Dr. Muhannad Maher Hall at the college and was attended by a number of faculty members.
The seminar featured lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Atiyah Zubbar, Head of the Iraqi Academics’ Syndicate in Salah Al-Din; Dr. Bushra Ali Kazem, a faculty member at the College of Science; and Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Abd from the Presidency of the University of Tikrit / Diwan Division. The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Saad Sabbar Naseef, with the participation of the preparatory committee, which included Professor Dr. Umaima Ibrahim Mahmoud.
The seminar addressed several key themes, focusing on introducing the vision and objectives of the Academics’ Syndicate, its pivotal role in supporting the academic process, protecting academic rights, and enhancing the university work environment, thereby contributing to building a solid academic future based on professionalism, independence, and institutional cooperation.
During the seminar, the speakers emphasized the importance of activating the role of the Syndicate in supporting academic staff, strengthening communication among academic institutions, and promoting scientific and ethical values that form the foundation for the development of higher education in Iraq.
This seminar is part of a series of scientific and awareness activities organized by the College of Veterinary Medicine as part of its ongoing efforts to advance the academic landscape and enhance institutional awareness among its staff.
