The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific seminar titled “Cows and Climate Change.” The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ziyad Tareq Omar and Assistant Lecturer Amer Ibrahim Ali.
The seminar covered several important scientific topics, including the significance of cattle farming and its role in supporting food security, as well as the negative environmental impacts associated with cattle emissions and their contribution to climate change. The speakers also discussed scientific and practical measures to reduce environmental pollution resulting from cattle farming, with a focus on modern solutions aimed at lowering emissions and promoting sustainable farming practices.
The seminar was held in Dr. Muhanad Maher Hall at the College and was attended by a notable number of faculty members and administrative staff, who enriched the event with their scientific inputs and constructive discussions.
