The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit has concluded a joint scientific cooperation agreement with the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, within the framework of strengthening academic and scientific collaboration among Iraqi universities and exchanging expertise in a manner that contributes to the development of the educational and research process.
This came during the reception of Professor Dr. Bashar Sadiq Noumi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit, for Professor Dr. Jalal Yassin Mustafa, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, who visited the college in his capacity as Chairman of the Master’s thesis defense committee for the graduate student Reem Zaidan Mukhlif in the field of Microbiology.
The two parties, represented by the two Deans, signed a joint cooperation agreement that included several scientific and academic areas, most notably cooperation in joint scientific research, participation of faculty members in scientific discussion committees, teaching, and editorial boards of scientific journals, as well as the organization of seminars, training courses, scientific camps, and joint competitions.
During the meeting, the Deans emphasized the importance of this agreement in supporting academic and research development and enhancing scientific integration among Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in Iraqi universities, in a way that positively reflects on the quality of higher education and community service.
Both parties also commended the efforts exerted to advance the scientific and academic reality, affirming the continuation of cooperation to achieve common goals and serve the veterinary profession in Iraq.
