In line with the approach of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University in supporting the security forces in Salah Al-Din Province, the Outpatient Clinic Unit received a veterinary case referred by the Salah Al-Din Police Command, involving a deceased K-9 dog of the German Shepherd breed.
The veterinary team promptly initiated a forensic postmortem examination to accurately and scientifically determine the cause of death, in accordance with the established protocols and procedures applicable to such cases.
Following the completion of the examinations and anatomical assessment, the cause of death was identified as heart failure, specifically congestive heart failure, a pathological condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood efficiently to meet the body’s physiological demands.
The College reaffirms its continued commitment to providing scientific and technical support to security institutions by utilizing its academic expertise and specialized laboratories in the service of the community and in strengthening institutional cooperation.
