As part of its community service activities, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tikrit received a veterinary case at its outpatient clinic unit for a horse owned by a local breeder. The animal was suffering from a foot dislocation.
The specialized veterinary staff promptly examined and accurately diagnosed the case, identifying the type of dislocation and administering the appropriate treatment in accordance with standard veterinary procedures. The diagnostic and treatment process was carried out with the participation of senior-year students, aiming to enhance their clinical skills and connect theoretical learning with real-world field applications.
This service reflects the college's commitment to its community role and its ongoing efforts to provide veterinary support to livestock breeders, while also offering students valuable hands-on training to prepare them for professional practice with confidence and competence.
